What are estate agency fees?

Estate agency fees are administrative charges that vary from agency to agency. This is what you can expect:

  • Administration fee: The cost of drafting a tenancy agreement – this usually costs between £100-420 depending on the agency.
  • Referencing fee: The cost of a tenant background check – this usually costs between £35-100 depending on the agency.
  • Check-in or check-out inventory fee:  The cost of undergoing an inventory checklist – this usually costs between £50-230 depending on the size of the property.

The fees listed above are determined by the estate agents and are out of our control. We will, however, always make sure that if there is an option for an agency with lower fees, we will try and steer you in the cheaper direction!

Why do I have to pay it extra from the Homie fee?

The Homie fee covers our service and professional support on your home hunt.
Once we make sure your offer is accepted, we both must follow estate agents regulations.
